The 2022 Ford Mustang coupe will offer four varying motor options. Two of these will be carryovers from the previous model year, while the other two will be new additions. The standard engine will be a 2.3 liter four cylinder that produces 310 horsepower and 350 pound feet of torque. A particular fan favorite in the Mustang will be a 5.0 liter V8 that produces 460 horsepower and 420 pound feet of torque.

The two new engine options for the 2022 Mustang coupe will be a 3.0 liter turbocharged V6 and a 4.8 liter supercharged V8. The turbocharged V6 will produce 400 horsepower and 410 pound feet of torque. The supercharged V8 will be the most powerful engine option, producing 700 horsepower and 650 pound feet of torque.

All of these engines will be paired with a ten speed automatic transmission. The Mustang coupe will have a rear-wheel drive layout.
