The supercharged V8 and the EcoBoost engines in a Ford Mustang are loud enough to distract your neighbors in the morning or late at night. You can turn down this exhaust sound to a whisper with the Quiet Mode or the “good neighbor” mode. The original Quiet Mode in the Ford Mustang combines with the new Active Exhaust Performance system.

You do not need an audio system to muffle the sound from the exhaust. The active valve system lets you control the volume of the exhaust sound. When you are starting your car very early in the morning, you can set it to Quiet Mode so as not to distract your neighbors. You can set other modes, such as Normal or the Track Mode. When you need an energy boost when you are leaving work, you can set the mode to Sport Mode. You can combine the roar with the smoking for real performance.
